Running because of, as MLK put it, "the fierce urgency of now."

We are at a defining moment in history. Our nation is at war, our planet is in peril. You see in your own lives; never paid more for college, never paid more at the pump. It's harder to save and to retire.

67. his campaign has always been populist
its just that people havent gotten it--that he wants to move the center to him instead of moving toward the center--because populism is usually accompanied by a kind of righteous anger instead of the discourse of hopefulness.

Inside our own party, people resist change. People get comfortable and get used to doing things that they have done before.

62. This man is PHENOMENAL on the stump. Amazing.
Was born to a teenage mom. His dad left when he was two. Raised by a single mom and grandparents. He was raised on love... and hope.

Obama: People say he's naive. He's pedaling false hopes. He needs a reality check. If you talk about hope, you must not understand the world; you must be engaged in wishful thinking.

He's addressing all the naysayers, and quite brilliantly, in my opinion.
