MITTBAMA: Obama's THREE different death penalty positions within the last ten years
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/2007-12-22-2414012588_x.htm

In 1996, when he was running for a seat in the Illinois Senate, Obama's campaign filled out a questionnaire flatly stating that he did not support capital punishment. By 2004, his position was that he supported the death penalty "in theory" but felt the system was so flawed that a national moratorium on executions was required.

Today, he doesn't talk about a moratorium and says the death penalty is appropriate for "some crimes -- mass murder, the rape and murder of a child -- so heinous that the community is justified in expressing the full measure of its outrage."

11. Obama is one of us
He WILL transform this nation form despair to a nation of Hope.

Yes we can change.

Yes we can heal this nation.

Yes we can seize our future.

And as we leave this state with a new wind at our backs, and take this journey across the country we love with the message we’ve carried from the plains of Iowa to the hills of New Hampshire; from the Nevada desert to the South Carolina coast; the same message we had when we were up and when we were down - that out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope; and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we can’t, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people in three simple words:

Yes. We. Can.

14. Which is Worse
taking a position and staunchly never budging, no matter what happens, no matter who it happens to, or reviewing your position in the light of new evidence and new experience and maybe changing your stance? GWB does the first. *Normal* people do the second. I prefer a president who can assimilate new information and make his decisions a trifle more flexible than 'stay the course'...right off a cliff. Even if this story were true...which I doubt (sounds like spam to me)...at least it shows Mr. Obama is *thinking* about his positions and not just doing Crazy Ivans all over the place just to get elected.

20. By looking at his record?
Why was it perfectly fine for Obamites to swiftboat Edwards for a year, largely by using the very charge leveled against Obama in this thread, and to criticize Hillary's record but an evil crime when Obama's record is put under the spotlight?

21. Obamites can never admit St. Obama has flip flopped numerous times
These are the same people who burned Edwards at the stake in their swiftboats for flip flopping, usually when he flip flopped along with note rethug lites like Ted Kennedy, Leahy, and John Kerry (and virtually ever other Democrat)...
