After reading the article, there were both positive and negatives about Obama's political ascension. The part of the article that tries to tar him as a left wing extremist, actually boots Obama's positives - at least from my perspective. Some snippets:

"His famous speech against the Iraq War was timely and brave, but few recall that it contained a dumb Marxoid conspiracy theory passage claiming the war was "an attempt to distract us" from domestic problems."

"His memoirs give friendly mentions to figures such as Frantz Fanon and Malcolm X, heroes of the wild Left in the Sixties."

There's also plenty about Rezko in this article, as well as reports of strange coincidences that worked in Obama's favor in his various campaigns for office. It reminded me of the Clinton bashing from the 90's.
