Clinton, McCain lead in New Jersey

Feb. 3, 2008 at 8:07 AM

TRENTON, N.J., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican John McCain hold commanding leads in the New Jersey race for their partys' presidential nominations, a poll indicates.

Just two days ahead of the Garden State's primary, Clinton has a 14 point lead over Barack Obama in the Democrats' race, while McCain has a 32-point advantage over Mitt Romney on the Republican side, a Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey poll indicates.

The poll, released Sunday, indicates Clinton, the junior senator from New York, is the choice of half of likely Democratic primary voters, while 36 percent say they will vote for Obama, the junior senator from Illinois, Gannett reported.

1. I will go with Zogby NJ isn't very good at polling in elections I remember
The Florio vs. Whitman race where they had Florio beating her by 9 points and she won. Plus I wonder if the independents were included in this poll there are more independents in NJ than dems or repubs.
