Obama's most courageous vote?
According to the media spin and frenzy it's the IWR, a vote he never had to make!

1. He more than likely would NOT have even shown up to vote had he even been in Senate.
Like Kyl-Leiberman. Sorry, too busy to be bothered to do my job.

14. He even voted against his own bills
Hows that for balls? His voting record is one of political expediency.

2. Can you point me to where someone in the media said he voted on the IWR?
Next you'll be telling us Obama can't catch a cab because he's black. Oh wait, you already did that.

5. Votes do not make a president, otherwise Kennedy and Kucinich would be President today.

15. He has a history of voting present on controversial legislation
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 11:48 AM by niceypoo
Which shows that he has a hard time taking a stand on important issues that might bite him down the road. I wish the media would quit portraying him as the next MLK or Malcolm, because those guys werent afraid to put their lives on the line when it mattered.

6. Please supply the link where they said he voted on the IWR
because that is what you are saying in this post

One thing though, he spoke out against that vote when it occurred. There is a difference, but since you indicated that the media is saying he voted on the IWR, I would like to see the link

16. If you don't think it took courage as a representative of Chicago,
a city that everyone thought was probably on the terrorists' list of targets, with a marquee building like the Sears Tower in it, to stand up and denounce the war, then you have forgotten the atmosphere back then.

17. As a State Senator from a safe district?
And then he pulled the speech down to run for the US Senate and modified his position to allow that he wasn't really sure how he would have voted.

You Obama supporters.lol.
