Nader In: Does He Matter Anymore?
Does Ralph Nader really matter anymore? Probably not. His role as a spoiler has been well documented enough in the last eight years that few of his onetime voters--who tend to be deeply involved political observers and who would almost universally prefer that the White House be Democratic rather than Republican--would actually pull the lever for him again.

I think it is funny and illogical when people present the argument that Nader did not spoil the 2000 election. If he did not, then why did so many people change their mind about him between 2000 and 2004? They obviously thought he did spoil the election and didn't want it to happen again.

1. I'm unenthusiastic about Nader over the course of his career as a politician.
Credit is due for the consumer advocacy.

He appears to me to lack the warmth and sense of community I hold high in public servants. I don't argue that he isn't quite intelligent, but I do sense that he's not a welcoming personality.

If he runs and is nominated by the Greens or someone else, I will predictably be ignoring his candidacy once again.

4. People have smarted up tremdously since 2000
Show me the man or woman who can still say "there'd be no difference between a Gore and Bush administration", and I will show you a mighty fool.
