I don't expect anything to change in 2009, except cowboy diplomacy |
|
I think that Clinton, Obama, Romney, and McCain will all continue corporate rule over America at the expense of working people. Washington isn't "broken", it works just fine. Non-voters don't rebel, they comply with corporate ownership of our country. We are all comfortable and fear change. So the only "change" we can expect in 2009 is that go it alone cowboy diplomacy will be replaced by coalition building foreign policy. Working people will continue to pray that their loved ones don't fall victim to a disease that is not profitable to treat. We all have health care in the ER. Good enough!
I think that we have a long way to fall before the working people in America rise up and demand a real 'new' deal.
Sit back, just relax, have another drink, a few more pretzels, a little more msg. Turn on those Dallas Cowboys on your TV! Sit back, relax. It is time, for the two minute warning.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Obama is an unknown
However, on social issues there are major differences between the republicans and Democrats

5. the debate will be framed victory (Korea) v. defeat (Vietnam) |
|
I opposed the Iraq war because I knew that it would involve 50 hard years of sacrifice from the American people. In for a penny, in for a pound. We have to stay in Iraq until victory is achieved. Only Ron Paul (and Dennis Kucinich) disagree. Both parties completely agree on this point. GOP claims that Dem support of a time table = defeat. The Dems see compromise and diplomacy as our (victorious) way out of Iraq. I think that all 4 (HRC, BO, Mac, Mitt) will do a better job in Iraq. The chimp has set the bar mad low.
2008 is the Dem party's chance to walk into the white house.
