Imagine the savings and ultimately better care achievable through self diagnosis.
It would reduce the sheer amount of face to face time that is so costly in healthcare.
It would leverage knowledge, access to knowledge, and self service.
Has anyone ever played this?
If you have, then you understand how over the course of 20-25 questions, this little device can pinpoint down to what you are thinking with amazing accuracy.
If the same sort of program were applied towards self diagnosing healthcare, the efficiency of self diagnosis would be significantly enhanced.
The system is broken because it is a for profit industry and the ulgy juggernaut it has become is something that is a predator looking for profits to exploit in the form of the care/suffer decision applied to available funds.
The industry has been corrupted by "access providers" - essentially middle men who charge exorbitant tolls for inroads to care - and by insurance premiums that cause providers to pay extreme insurance policies.
We need to get back to the basics of knowledge and care. There is no reason that healthcare can pillage society of survival funds while Education is pervesely underfunded and unvalued.
