My general impression is that Obama supporters refuse to look at the history of the candidates and |
|
to fully have a critical discussion of the issues. She can guide us through two major issues, war in the middle east and the economy.
I am afraid that I am seeing a fever sweep a lot of the American public. And it is peppered strongly with "Doing the Lord's work" and Praise Jesus."
I want a functioning rational minded woman to help us solve our problems. Not a religious Tony Roberts.

5. I HAVE looked at those two issues |
|
and REJECT her on both counts.
NAFTA, China trade, Indian outscourcing, stupid college tax credits, welfare reform.
Iraq WAR support. Kyl-Lieberman. Blustering foreign policy.
We have looked at her history and it SUCKS.

6. My general impression is that I am well abreast of the issues and will vote for Obama... |
|
I am not a religious zealot. You're thread is as insulting to me as "HRC supporters know nothing and vote on name recognition" would be to you.

7. It would help if you posted about the issues instead of your problems with Christians. |
|
The "I want a functioning rational minded woman" doesn't really help your case for a rational unbiased critical discussion of the issues. And Hillary is a Christian, too, btw.

you are trying every angle and none of it sticks, quit being a fear monger.
this is one country with 2 political parties that have used the politics of divisiveness for their own gain, not Americas.
Americans all want the same thing Security Economic Opportunity Health Care Education Alternative Energy
Obama is the first candidate in 20 years that offers the opportunity to unite the two parties and move this country forward.
Leave the divisiveness to the Rush's and Coulters that have made themselves rich at the expense of all of us.
Hillary is just another round in the same old BS politics that DOESN'T WORK

15. My general impression is that Hillary supporters refuse to look at her dishonesty. |

Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 02:01 PM by sparosnare
Hillary talks out of both sides of her mouth, refuses to answer questions in a straighforward manner and will change her mind if it suits her politically. She's calculating and with her ties to corporations, will not work for our best interests.
If we elect Hillary we get the same old Washington establishment Bullshit, Bill Clinton and divisiveness.
No thanks.

16. Excellent Points! Plus if we elect HRC, we get "A THIRD DLC stacked Executive Branch." |
|
That means "Business as usual."
I know that we don't KNOW about Obama, but we *sure as shit* KNOW what we'll get with a 3rd term with the SMARMY Corporate DLC staffed Executive Branch in 2009. NO WAY!!!

17. I think you'd say my problem is that I HAVE looked at the history |
|
of the candidates, and Hillary's history doesn't leave me with much trust that she will do what I believe is the best thing- This has nothing to do with any 'fever-sweep', for me.
There is nothing irrational about Obama's platform, ideas, or plans- If you want to just diss him, why try and couch it behind a lame excuse for a post?
The economy we are facing today is nothing that has been faced before- by Hillary or any other candidate. We have a war debt that isn't going away soon, an aging population, a national debt that we have no way of addressing, because we have allowed NAFTA and our unchecked consumption to destroy jobs here in the USA that pay a living wage. Not to mention the health care crisis that is going to come crashing down- and the cost of moving away from fossil fuels and over to healthier affordable alternitaves.
If you think Hillary has relevant experience in all these things, maybe you could enlighten me?
peace~
