5. Her plan sucks. Obama's plan sucks. |

If we're going to have payroll deductions, garnishments, whatever you want to call them let's get the insurance companies out of it!
Single payer.
As it is, both are offering convoluted patchworks that don't cut this very expensive non-value added mid-level out. And Clinton's comes with a mandate to give these greedy cretins your money.

7. You couldn't have had time to read all those links. |
|
Just asking you and others to read the links. Universal is really the only right thing to do.

9. I've read both their plans previously. They both suck. So did Edwards' |

They involve insurance companies. The gambling industry does not belong in health care. We don't buy police and fire insurance. We don't buy public school insurance. We pay our taxes and those services are provided because they are basic needs of a functioning society.

16. We do where I live... |
|
We pay school insurance on the children every school year in public school. We also pay a tax for Rescue Squad, fire protection and police. Otherwise, we don't get those services here.

incredibly happy about it. I got off the plane with my temporary work permit and they handed me a health card,...no questions asked! I was able to work several different, interesting jobs without having to worry about what insurance I may or may not have had when I changed employment! I went to the doctor when I was sick, a couple of blocks away from where I was living and had no wait and didn't even have to sign in. I then trotted over to the pharmacy and got a prescription for a couple of bucks. Later, I got a pair of glasses which cost me very little, certainly not what I was paying back in the states.
Gee, what a hardship, funding my health insurance for a few pounds a week!!

14. Yeah, esp. whe I got to buy into NJ's plan for the uninsured.... |
|
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 07:00 PM by Gloria
That drained me of thousands!!!! For Years!! And with the huge "high deductible plan to save money" I paid thousands more out of pocket!! Hell, my back surgery cost me $10,000 by the time I got through, even with "insurance." Thank god for Medicare! When I finally got it, I was beyond paying the premiums for the NJ plan...and I was living in NM, using my brother's address in Jersey because I was afraid to drop it and then get rejected here!!
SEE how it DOESN'T work??
