What a weird place. The most ardent supporter of the Gropenator is making folks pee their pants
over her support for Obama . . . The same DU which is parsing every action and utterance of lifelong, committed Democrats. Does it mean anything at all to folks that these republican boosters are attracted to Obama? Why should the prospect of some middle-of-the-road political expediency that these republicans and republican supporters expect from Obama interest progressives at all?

2. Yet another mature response to an endorsement from the Clinton camp.
BTW, Maria Shriver is a Democrat.

3. "making folks pee their pants"?
:eyes:

And I wouldn't consider Maria Shriver a republican booster. She's been a staunch Dem all her life, and continues to be.

There are many DUers married to people of the 'opposite persuasion'.

It's really freaky! The same people who were up in arms over Maria
being married to the man who stole Gray Davis' Governorship...are now SWOONING over her! It's freakin' hilarious.

Can you say HYPOCRITE?

Obama is RUINING the party with all these freakin' repukes. WE DON'T NEED THEM! I thought we detested Rahm Emanuel when he brought all those Blue Dog Dems into the House? :eyes:

6. I remember her standing by her man while he swatted away the long line of women accusing
him of sexual harassment, basically calling them liars.

11. I remember another political wife claiming she wasn't just "standing by her man, like Tammy Wynette"
. . . and baking cookies.

But, she did stand by her man, didn't she?

So what's your point?

12. I didn't believe Flowers or Jones or that one who claimed she was groped in the WH
I believed those women who accused Arnold. That simple.

8. Maria is a lifelong Dem. But I do remember not so long ago
that Oprah was regularly savaged on here as being a Repub because she gave Arnold a platform on her show.

19. Yes indeed! Oprah was the DEVIL!
She has NEVER been adored on DU because she's wealthy and a snoot. Their words, not mine.

13. True. Remember when Oprah was villified on DU for having Schwarzenegger on her
show?

Now she - and the wife - are heroes.

Ah well. I liked Oprah okay then, and now.

14. "The most ardent supporter of the Gropenator..."
Mind-blowingly ironic post, given it comes from a Hillary supporter.

We really don't need to "go there" do we?

15. Another Asshat for Hillary with another stupid comment...
Maria has been a Democrat all her life. She's very intelligent. She knows who is better as a candidate for President.

That person is Barack Obama.

Make fun of her, character assassinate her all you want... you are a fool.

17. It's a weird day to day for sure -- Maria - and Oprah, Michelle and Caroline.
The Obamatrons like to think that Hillary supporters are less-educated, down-scale sheep, and Obama rolls out the greatest shepherd of sheep in America today, Oprah Herself.

Barack himself likes to whine about spouses saying too much and going negative, and then he puts Michelle out in front of the mike.

And what do we hear again and again from him and his camp? No Dynasties! No Dynasties! And suddenly, it's Caroline Kennedy Week: Caroline Kennedy, a lovely lady, but one whose personal acheivement is so small in relation to her momentous Camelotian symbolism (who will ever forget those tow headed little moppets running around the Oval Office desk, etc.) that she embodies nothing less than pure dynastic nostalgia.
