Endorsements are a press ritual and congrats to Obama's team for smart staging
Endorsements are useful in that they can give the impression of momentum. Obama's team has been very smart about managing and staging their endorsements, abetted by the press' fondness for the underdog.

I believe Hillary would be a far better president, for a variety of reasons which I've already articulated many times.

But I'm very happy if Obama can stage momentum building events, because if he ends up being our nominee, it gives me more confidence that his team can manage expectations and P.R. and play the media game. Something we'll need to do expertly in the fall.

4. I don't believe that his momentum is staged at all. It exists as reflected in the polls!
