I'm not sure it's a matter of "making nice", though. Could BO (or any Dem pres) find a way to get progressive things done even with a sizeable minority of Republicans still present? I guess confrontation would work if we can get a big enough majority next time.

Come to think of it, the R's are a minority now, but they still seem to get everything they want. I'd like to see the majority have a voice for a change.
