17. Still just hilarious!!! Edwards presented programs, policies, ideas. |
|
Obama has slogans. Beautiful, mystical slogans, but slogans nonetheless.

20. Well, Obama presented a troop withdrawal plan, a health-care plan, an |
|
economic-stimulus plan, a mortgage/foreclosure plan, a foreign-policy plan, etc. Not sure where you get the idea he's all slogans, but it's sure a fun meme to harp on for some here, I suppose. Look at all the criticism he gets on specific details--no mandate for health insurance, his aggressive stand against terrorists in Pakistan, his targeted merit pay for math and science teachers, his diplomacy initiatives, the number of brigades he plans to withdraw from Iraq... People love to pick apart the policies he puts forth, and then turn around and say he has no policies. Sorry, visit his website, or Google, and you'll see all sorts of policies.

22. That's how we win. Won't win with just Dems. Got to get more people |
|
to vote for us than for Repubs. And we've got to get the GOP minority in Congress to be less hell-bent on obstructing us. Need cooperative Repubs for that.

to endorse ...guess we will see!
It would be great revenge for the way Harry Reid "shafted" him from the Lake Tahoe environmental forum by allowing Bill Clinton to be the honored speaker last August and paying for his trip out of the Nevada Dem Party coffers so that he could also campaign for Hillary.
If this happens, I will laugh!

9. Agreed. I'd be a little disappointed in Big Al if he endorsed at |
|
this stage. He just wrote a book about how messed up the political system is - so why be seen as participating?
It's too soon for Edwards to endorse, imo.

the big endorsement headlines tomorrow will be Richardson endorsing CLinton and Shriver endorsing Obama.
Slightly off-topic: Am I the only one who thinks that Al Gore's refusal to endorse anyone at this stage is a de facto endorsement of Obama? Or at least a de facto vote of no confidence in Clinton? If he was seriously behind another Clinton term, wouldn't he have been out front campaigning for her from the start? I see his silence as damning.
Just wondering...

I wouldn't be suprised to see Edwards endorse Obama in the near future. And I expect Richardson will endorse Clinton. Why else do you think Bill and Bill are getting together to watch the Super Bowl tonight?
