I was ready to jump on his band wagon. But there is not a single sign of him being friendly to labor on the stuff he sells.

2. That sucks.
I know his stuff here in Iowa all had a bug on em - buttons, stickers, bumper stickers, Letterhead, caucus cards.

It the stuff from his site or is it just a link to another site for stuff?

6. Oh, okay
I thought he meant that Obama wasn't using union shops to make his merchandise. (Which is important to me).

14. A friend gave me a Bush button in 1988 since he knew I collect
campaign stuff. No union bug (which is generally the case for Republicans) but on the inside back you could see the negative of Spanish writing on it like from the smudging of paper used when it was made. So likely George Senior couldn't even buy American for his campaign items.

16. One of Iowa's Dem legislative candidates was bragging about how much he saved
on campaign buttons buying them on-line. 'Proudly manufactured in Mexico' was along the edges x( He received a quick education (I still have one of the buttons ;))

22. Yipes! That's not good at all
I've seen that though on buttons. AARP was giving out "Don't Mess With Social Security Buttons" at the MN state fair that had "Made in Mexico" on the back.

3. Maybe his voting record is more important than pieces of metal
I see no union buttons on Clinton's site either. But both her and Obama have strong labor support.

12. Agree, and a candidate should practice what they preach
i.e use union labor as Obama does in his campaign items. Clinton does too.

I just don't think it's a negative that neither Obama nor Clinton have Union Members for X for sale. I'm sure they will eventually and the unions themslves put out material.

11. I've worn an Edwards and unions stand together button for 6 months

I have it in my lap as I type. He had another one I didn't like as much. I'm sure ALL the Democratic candidates used union labor to produce all their buttons, bumper stickers, signs, etc...

17. Edwards no longer sells his stuff, mine was similar to this

This alone won't get me to the Sen. Clinton camp. I'm an independent leaning Obama for the caucus Saturday.

The key is holding 15%. If not, I will realign with Obama. There is plenty od AFSCME and Clinton stuff I could have free. I'll pass for now.
