The Kennedy women are hardly "self-made"---they had doors opened for them that most of us don't have .

6. I see women who have been taught |
|
that men are the ones who rule in politics. And we are just here to support them and love them and do whatever we can for them so they will be nice to us and give us a certain level of respect.
That's what I see...years and years of conditioning...and in Oprah's case, sexual abuse.

Being a woman who is free- means being unafraid to make decisions that will cause those who only look at the surface to judge them without mercy.
I don't believe you intend to put us back into a box- but that is exactly what you do with statements like yours above.
I'm a survivor of sexual abuse too- And that has served to teach me that anyone is capable of doing good or doing harm. Judge the individual- not "group affiliation"-
I wish you peace and wisdom and healing.

22. I see four impressive women standing on their own two feet |
|
smiling, having just spoken the words in their heart. These four women have been inspired by a man who reeks of an ability to encourage people even under intimidating circumstances to muster the courage to say what they feel they need to say. That is particularly true of the woman in the middle, for whom I developed a new-found respect as I listened to her today.

26. Recently, it has come out that Oprah has a thyroid condition. Apparently |
|
She has gone from physician to physician trying to find out why she can't sleep right, keep weight off, or manage streess better.
But like many of the rest of us us women, Oprah got the doctor patient run around.
Doctors don't care to really figure it out - they look at us and see we are women, and say, "That explains it!"
And it can take time to get your thyroid up and operating at peak condition once you find out it's been causing you trouble.
She is now actively trying to put out the word that thyroid problems befall many women over the age of 50 or so. The menopause thing.
So others can learn from her experiences.

Can't you see the difference between what she looks like in these pics and on tv (and look at her compared to Michelle) I like Oprah - despite her bad choice in politicians - she did give us Arnie afterall.

I'm glad that they are able to see beyond the whole "hillary will be the first woman president" thing and can actually use their brain in order to see the obvious best choice.
