My Mom brought up a good point: Will the U.S. President be decided by celebrities? |
|
She's not impressed by the media with the way they shape the debate. She wanted to ring Soledad O'Brien's giddy little neck the other day (because it seemed like the pundits all have their little favourites and they shouldn't create the news, just report it. Yup, I know, Mom) Mom is not a violent person by the way. She is impressed by both Hillary and Michelle Obama.
She thinks Oprah has to learn a bit of humility. Oprah knows she has immense power and clout and should be a little less full of herself. Maria, Caroline and Oprah failed to impress her. I think she was getting a little stressed out by CNN. :)

2. I'm voting my conscience from the viable candidates left. |

I'm a bit surprised at my choice. I doubt if celebrities will sway any significant portion of the population anymore than people here at DU will sway anyone here.

It is always the people of influence who make the choices because the population are star struck and blinded by the bright light .
