Hillary on Massachusettsans: “They can redeem themselves on Tuesday – they can vote for a winner.”

Clinton’s Post-Game Show
By Patrick Healy

ABOARD THE CLINTON PRESS PLANE – Before taking off to New York late Sunday night, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton hailed the New York football Giants and made a few quips about Senator Barack Obama and the people of Massachusetts, who vote on Feb. 5.

Told that Mr. Obama was supporting the Patriots – the home team of his supporters Edward M. Kennedy, John Kerry, and Gov. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, Mrs. Clinton grinned and said, “Hm, I wonder why.”

And reminded that she had two campaign stops in Massachusetts on Monday, she said: “They can redeem themselves on Tuesday – they can vote for a winner.”

Otherwise she took the Giants’ victory as tidings of things to come.

“Well, I think this is a real omen,” she said.

Asked how she was feeling, given that her voice has grown hoarse, she said, “I feel ok, my voice has gone AWOL on me.”

By the by, this was Mrs. Clinton’s first on-the-record drop-by in her campaign plane press cabin since reporters enforced new rules that all of her remarks to the entire press corps would be on the record.

16. Seriously tho, can you - can ANY of us - imagine how freaking TIRED she must be? Even
a triathlete couldn't keep her schedule/hours without collapsing. I know after about three 12-hour shifts, I lock myself in my house, pull the covers over my head and refuse to budge for a day. When was her last day off? How many times a day does she have to speak, talk, get in front of cameras, be poised and articulate and worry about every word she says? Its truly hard for me to imagine, so I'd hope we might give her a bit of a break.. and Obama too for that matter.. when either of them "gaffe" on site !

Hats off to both of them for doing what would be to most of us, undoable !

25. Same here.
I work four twelve-fourteen hour shifts a week. At the end of my week I'm truly exhausted, both body and mind. All I want is a hot bath, chamomile tea and a dark, noiseless room to sleep in.

No way I could handle doing what any of the candidates have done.

11:39 pm I’m really concerned about the fact that both Massachusetts and New York decided to host their victory parades the same day as SUPER TUESDAY. I would expect the attendance at the parade to consist of mainly 18-30’s, and that would take away a lot of potential voters from Obama. Because of this unfortunate circumstance, I was hoping that New England would win… they have fewer delegates. All we can hope is that those young people who are out celebrating the Giants victory on Tuesday, use the time off to stop by the voting precincts. PLEASE!!!!

11:44 pm If Hillary is like either team, it is the Patriots, who secretly taped their opponents practice to use their plays against them.

She didn’t even watch the game, as reported elsewhere on this blog. She just posed in front of the TV at the last minute to pretend she was a fan and to score political points.

Hillary is so obviously fake. It gets reported on ALL THE TIME. How can people see how fake she is and still support her?

11:50 pm “Otherwise she took the Giants’ victory as tidings of things to come.

“Well, I think this is a real omen,” Hillary said.

————————————–
Yeah, so do I !!!

Hillary was supposed to be the odd end favorite in the beginning of the Race. Then after her back-to-back wins in NH and Nev. but Obama hanged on until South Carolina.

And now we’re again supposed to believe that Hillary is going to win Super Tuesday - I am hoping for Obama to have a GIANT victory and beat this dishonest carpetbagging band-wagoner.

30. Hillary is losing it! Doesn't she now how beloved the Patriots are in Mass?
And in New England in general? I mean, those people up there are crushed! They see this more than just a 'game.' And she said this right before they go to the polls! I don't know about women, but I think many men will turn against Hillary for that. That was a very stupid thing to say to a state that just lost the Super Bowl and ruined their perfect season.
