What motivated the "Yes We Can" video

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/william/why-i-recorded-yes-w_b_84655.html

It's a really powerful article in its entirety but this portion I found to be especially succinct.

". . ."change for the better"
Inspiration breeds change...

"Positive change"...

no one on this planet is truly experienced to handle the obstacles we face today...
Terror, fear, lies, agendas, politics, money, all the above...
It's all scary...

Martin Luther King didn't have experience to lead...
Kennedy didn't have experience to lead...
Susan B. Anthony...
Nelson Mandela...
Rosa Parks...
Gandhi...
Anne Frank...
and everyone else who has had a hand in molding the freedoms we have and take for granted today...

no one truly has experience to deal with the world today...

they just need "desire, strength, courage ability, and passion" to change...
and to stand for something even when people say it's not possible...

America would not be here "today" if we didn't stand and fight for
change "yesterday"...
Everything we have as a "people" is because of the "people" who fought for
change...
and whoever is the President has to realize we have a lot of changing to do

I'm not trying to convince people to see things how i do...
I produced this song to share my new found inspiration and how I've been moved...
I hope this song will make you feel...
love...
and think...
and be inspired just like the speech inspired me...

that's all..."

2. You're very welcome
I think this thread got drowned by Hillary's tears or something.

LOL

7. None were U.S. senators for two terms.
Which is apparently the working definition of "experience" for some people.

8. I didn't write it. Check the links.
Yet as a spiritualist who believes in reincarnation I think the argument of "experience" is kind of mute though, especially in light of stories like honest Abe's. Aside from his Congressional term he reputedly had horrendous challenges and failures until he became President.

When one takes on the mantle of power it is a transformational experience so it's always, as the Big Dog said "a roll of the dice."

The cogent point this musician made I felt was that NO one has experience that is relevant or applicable to these times as they are truly unprecedented.

That's why I posted it.

5. In all things, desire, intent and belief come first...
Whether we want to own it or not, we collectively create the world ~ and we've done one hell of a job with hatred, fear and cynicism!

6. Leaders emerge by leading.
Hillary has never been a leader. She's a technician who has managed well her ambition.

Obama inspires because he leads, not follows.

10. Yeah I felt it was so moving
and loved to learn of the story behind it.

Was surprised this didn't get more attention but it certainly did at Huff Po.

Thanks dear.
