There are swarms of people (eg look at the McClurking threads) who just are looking for anything to bash Obama for endlessly. Note also, on the McClurkin issue (which is deeply reflective of the balance of such things on DU) that, while the GLBT community and press are widely divided on the campaign, many dismissing the whole McClurkin episode as overplayed (including myself, an authentic progressive bi) while on DU there is an intimidating CHORUS of protestations, sometimes with SCORES of people howling on a given thread, of which threads there have been MANY.

This well illustrates the kind of phenomenon, the swarms of Obama-bashers on DU (with a handful of predictable ones starting flame threads without any accountability to the rules -- rules which I disagree w/anyway, in part due to their inherent likelihood of one-sided enforcement -- of DU) that the OP rightly points out.

There is NO symmetry whatsoever, let alone Hillary-bashing one-sidedness here on DU; rather such protestations are part and parcel of the swarm phenomenon itself.
