Why is Obama still belittling Edwards in his standup routine?

4. Actually, I saw the full video of that same joke, and it does come off as somewhat insulting.

Basically the joke is; when asked what's his biggest weakness is, he said he's basically disorganized, can't handle pushing paperwork, etc. Then Edwards pops up and says his biggest weakness is "helping poor people." Obama then goes on to say, "oh I know what the game is now, if I went first I would've said I like helping old ladies cross the street."

Basically he takes one of Edwards' most serious issues and marginalizes it in a joke. It's insulting to me, at least, having grown up in poverty and knowing what it's fucking like.
