What are the candidates' positions for restoring America's economy?
Not often talked about, I worry...

Normally I'd leave a detail message, but this one needs no lengthy reasoning. The issue is jobs. How will the candidates, a president, handle this? Without an economy to keep people working, nobody will be able to afford any of the big ideas they are talking about.

You just want to bitch over the candidates and not ask any real questions.

Indeed, that might hurt your candidate.

Which is sad; every major candidate has ideas and plans, yet when it comes down to the nitty gritty, jobs to pay for it all, what's left?

Maybe it's time I dumb down like the rest of 'em.

Hillary’s economic blueprint to restore the American middle class includes:
* Harnessing innovation to create the high-wage jobs of the 21st Century
* Creating a $50 billion Strategic Energy Fund to jumpstart research and development of alternative energies
* Strengthening unions and ensuring our trade laws work for all Americans
* Providing quality, affordable health care to every American
* Making college accessible and affordable
* Confronting the growing problems in the housing market
* Bolstering retirement security by promoting savings and investment
* Returning to fiscal responsibility and moving towards balanced budgets

I think we're in for a nasty recession (or worse) no matter who wins

Even Hillary's points have more depth than John McCain's... McCain's site looks nice but, wow, he's got NOTHING except the status quo magnified. (And Obama's are even less direct, but it's politics - anything specific would be shot down fairly quickly...)
