When I cry, I get called a wimp.
And I am a male. Anybody wanna see proof?

Males, who cry, in public or elsewhere, are usually not given kind treatment.

Hillary Clinton is a politician. Running for highest office in the land.

It is not sexism that people are responding to her crying in an unsympathetic way.

What if she was crying to elicit a certain response? Wouldn't that be Hillary using sexism for her own advantage?

So when people want to feel sorry for Clinton because she cries, kindly GROW THE FUCK UP.

1. There's nothing wrong with crying sometimes.
Maybe you need to hang around different people!

One of the Giants (Plaxico Burress) cried after winning the Super Bowl. Would you call him a wimp?

4. What a great Combination
Manning to Burress. SEC to Big Ten. Awesome duo.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with men crying. I cried all through my retirement ceremony. And I had everyone else crying too.

And why couldn't it have been Toomer? Why, in the name of all that's right, couldn't it have been Toomer?

22. Hey David Tyree was pretty salty yesterday
Mannings scrambling and Tyree's awesome catch late in the game will be in highlight reels for ever.

Brady's last two losses were to the Manning Brothers. Thats sweet dontcha think? And imagine, its possible they both could be in the Super Bowl next year. Who would you be cheering for? But brady is cute as you say.

24. No, actually I don't think it's sweet!
Who wants to look at their ugly mugs? Plus, even their fans must admit that the overkill of Mannings on all the commercials is too much.

Was Brady injured? Something looked off.

29. Gosh Lisa
just think a Manning could win the next five super bowls. Or more. Brady injured? Thats funny. What you saw was the tom brady one sees when he plays against a defense. If he does not have to play against a defense in the next ten years he might join the company of Marino and Montana and Bradshaw. Damn those defenses. But I did appreciate the chuckle. Actually I enjoy their commercials. Maybe there will be more.

3. There's nothing wrong with a presidential candidate, or a president, crying
Soldiers cry.

Male presidents cry.

People cry. They do it in public. It's human. People need to get over this notion that Hillary Clinton can't cry because she's a female presidential candidate. Aye caramba!

Just as long as people cry out of legitimate reasons... some people will cry just for publicity...

It's up to us to decide if it's an act or not.

7. Hillary Clinton cries, she's called "too weak" to be President ...
she doesn't cry, she's called a stone cold bitch ...

Of course, a Supreme Court nominee's wife cries, she's called courageous and standing firm against a horrendous attack on her husband ... if she's a Repuke ...

9. It depends on what you cry about
If you break down sobbing because your shoelace broke, yeah, people will laugh.

If you get a little choked up when an old friend gives you a very warm and heartfelt introduction? Normal people would consider that a regular, human reaction.

11. yes, it's a double standard
Any man who cried would be finished as a candidate, especially if he was whimpering for his own political ambition and what might be happening to it.

12. it depends on why someone cries
you cry at a funeral - fine.
you cry after a major life accomplishment - like your first child being born or you're an athlete who wins a championship - fine.
you cry at a major disaster - you lose a championship, or you get fired from your job or your wife or husband leave you, fine.

but to cry when things get hard in life, well, that's different.

Everyone has a right to cry, of course, but you should expect people to have different reactions to it depending on the situation.

13. People either are incapable of getting it or they refuse to get is.
The closest metaphor I can think of for how crying is that of vomiting. Lets look at the similarities:

1. Everyone cries or vomits at some point.
2. Crying and vomiting are not bad in and of themselves, but are generally states of being that we all prefer to avoid,
3. Part of this similarity is a lack of controll. One who cries is not managing their emotions. One who vomits is not managing their stomach contents.
4. It is unpleasant to be near someone who is crying or vomiting.
5. It is unfair to frequently expose people to such unpleasantry.
6. As a result, both crying and vomiting are actions to be done in private.
7. Extreme circumstances can excuse either. If you are at a funeral, it is quite possible that you may cry but please don't make a huge scene. If you are at a roaring drunken party or you have just eaten something that is horribly disgusting, at some point you may begin vomiting, but please try to get it into a receptacle of some sort. In both cases containment is an issue.

There are more similarities, but I think that is sufficient for now.

18. I agree but...
It's a double standard in our society and it's well-ingrained because of gender roles that have shaped our population for years. I don't think that Hillary is helping that problem, but you can see why people had the sympathy.

I saw the tape of Hillary today and I don't see the big deal. She was reminiscing with an old friend and got a little choked up.

If it was staged, give that woman an Oscar because it looked real as shit to me.
