"God protect me from your followers"-
People use this phrase to point out hypocrisy often displayed when someone is acting like a jerk, and using "religion" as a cover.

Well, religion has nothing on politics in this forum.

A suggestion.- Request- Plea. To everyone-:

If you are an angry person who is looking for a place to vent- PLEASE- don't do it while hiding behind a candidate.

If you are a suspicious person wanting to pick apart and nuance every action of someone you don't care for- PLEASE don't do it while hiding behind a candidate.

If you feel strongly about a cause- and want to champion it- and don't care who you hurt getting your message out- PLEASE, in fairness to your cause and everyone here- don't do this while hiding behind a candidate.

I think we are using this primary to excuse some pretty terrible behaviour.

It isn't fair for Hillary to be saddled with the baggage some individual here may be carrying- a person who may post "in defense-or support" of her, but who is actually promoting a personal agenda.

It isn't fair that Obama be saddled with the baggage some individual here may be carrying- a person who may post "in defense-or support" of him, but who is actually promoting a personal agenda.

I ask, if you really support your candidate- and are responding, or posting something that isn't genuinely a position or tactic that he or she would approve of, that you at least leave their name and images out of your post.

Not to deny anyones freedom to speak- but rather to be sure we speak FOR OURSELVES not for others.

None of us should claim connection with a candidate, and then proceed to act like assholes.

That is not only destructive, it is dishonest. Obama isn't responsible for any of the words I have just written. And neither Obama nor Hillary should be held accountable for the behaviour of those who have chosen to grab onto their coat-tails, but who act and speak in ways that do not reflect the candidate at all.

This probably sounds stupid or preachy- or whatever but I still feel it is worth consideration.

thanks for reading

peace~

1. Recommended. We are a team.
The question is who should carry the ball in the next play. Anybody who's arguing beyond "this candidate offers the most right now" has totally lost grasp of the fact that we are a team, and may as well be a conservative republican.
