Bill Clinton has crossed the line
Edited on Mon Feb-04-08 04:01 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
GMA: Could you see yourself working to support Barack Obama should he win the nomination?

BILL CLINTON: I'd have to think about that. I'd have to think about that, his policies, his approach, his tone.

GMA: That's not a given?

BILL CLINTON: You know, everyone in this party is going to work hard for whoever the nominee is. I think that we're all working for the same thing. And, you know, I think our goal is to make sure that the person in the White House is going to take this country in a different direction. I happen to believe that Hilary is the only person who can really do that.

______________

(He did not, and would never say anything like that, of course.)

24. Transcript of Michelle Obama giving the finger to working to elect Hillary if she's nominee
Here's a rough transcript of Mrs. Obama on GMA:

GMA: Could you see yourself working to support Hillary Clinton should she win the nomination?

MICHELLE OBAMA: I'd have to think about that. I'd have to think about that, her policies, her approach, her tone.

GMA: That's not a given?

MICHELLE OBAMA: You know, everyone in this party is going to work hard for whoever the nominee is. I think that we're all working for the same thing. And, you know, I think our goal is to make sure that the person in the White House is going to take this country in a different direction. I happen to believe that Barack is the only person who can really do that.

Ah yes, tone. You mean like this?

"I'm confident that I will get her votes votes if I’m the nominee, it’s not clear that she would get the votes I got if she were the nominee.” - Barack Obama

Well, at least the Obama's are reading off of the same script, as people suck their Hope Soda up with a straw.

This just about tears it for me.

4. You must have missed it...
This is what Michelle Obama said about Hillary Clinton. The OP is being sarcastic.

8. You know, Michelle should not have been quite so prickly. However, to compare
a former President and one of the undisputed heads of the party with a Senator's non-politician wife who is new to the national stage, and have the same expectations for both, is a little silly.

9. "You know, everyone in this party is going to work hard for whoever the nominee is. "
That would be a "yes". I can't blame him for sticking to the issue at hand, which is getting to that nomination. First things first.

10. Yes, had it been Bill
this site would explode.

Michelle Obama fumbled the answer, but she recovered. But still, it was inartful. There's only one answer to that question:

"Yes, we will all do what we can to make sure a Democrat wins in November - the stakes are too high. Of course, I believe that candidate will be my husband."

23. First, he would not have crossed the line. Second, Michele Obama is not a big head of the Democratic
Party. She is only the wife of one of the nominee. If Obama had not run, nobody would have asked her whether she would work for the nominee.

Bill Clinton is a big figure of the Democratic Party. The answer is totally different. If the question was asked to Chelsea, though, it would be comparable.
