It isn't the crying that bothered me today, it's how they using it |
|
The cameras were conveniently on a very closeup view of her face and stayed focused on her rather than the speaker. In fact we don't get to see the speaker at all. Emotions are certainly okay, but her emotional moments are magically timed, so I take that back, the crying did bother me.

2. I think this is a complete non-issue |

Remember the last crying jag? She was in NH, behind in the NH polls, after suffering a third place finish in Iowa. The media was calling for her head and giving last rites to her candidacy. Truth be told, I felt very sympathetic to her that morning because the piling on by the media was becoming ridiculous. It didn't change my support but I truly felt for her.
This is different - she's in a good position going into tomorrow and she'll rack up a respectable amount of delegates. The thing this morning was just about an old friend, not a cynical attempt to play on anyone's sympathies. I give her a pass on this like I did in New Hampshire, and I'm far from a Hillary supporter.

3. My point was that they are trying to use this to boost her numbers |

I believe it was genuine. But they jumped on the opportunity

I haven't had the news on today, so I don't know how it's being characterized by the campaign. But I still think it's a non-issue.

...because it's utterly ridiculous and transparent.
The smell of desperation hangs in the air.

10. Yes, it looks contrived to me... |
|
I believe that Hillary's initial crying was real and genuine.
This looks staged. She's got herself propped up in an intimate setting, that the media has covered ALL DAY. Again, the crying happens, and not only does she cry, but she goes out of her way to direct attention to the fact that she's crying.
"Oh look at me! I'm crying again!".
Enough of the 'crying game'.

9. How can you ignore something when |

the whole campaign is about this crap and never about the issues. I've been saying this for the last two months now.
I finally give-in to this and started giving my two cents. And today Hillary is getting a bashing and Hillary supporters don't like. Too bad!
