Question? I have been thinking about this a little lately.
Does anyone think that the reason Gore may not have endorsed Obama yet is because it wouldn’t have negated Hillary’s advantage in Tennessee? So if Gore endorses Obama before Super Tuesday and Obama loses in Tennessee then it negates the effectiveness of the Gore endorsement. However, if he endorses after super Tuesday then his endorsement can help keep the momentum going…

1. Gore would be stupid to say anything at this point |
|
His power lies in the perception that he is "above it all."
If he so much as nudges in one direction or the other, he'll lose some of his influence. Besides, we all know he would like to be the President, but knows the system is rigged(Hard to misunderstand SCOTUS taking your office from you).
I hoped he would run, but I can see why he decided not to.

6. I don't recall Gore being such a rockstar at the time |
|
I supported him as the true elected president, but he wields far more influence now.
With that higher perch has come the possibility of a fall, so he has to tread carefully these days. His message already has official blacklistability...it's only floating on popular support, which is fickle.

12. Yeah, and I remember the crap he took for that as well |

I don't think Gore will endorse anyone, until we have a nominee. And I hope to Goddess he stays out of it. With ALL the childish remarks I have seen after someone endorses a candidate and it isn't their candidate, ALL bets are off and that person is trashed here on DU.
It's rather disgusting and disturbing.

11. And Kennedy and Kerry don't? |
|
I mean they would actually have to work with hillary (unless she is the vp) if she lost. I don't think intra-party endorcements destroy relationship they way you are infering.

13. Maybe he prefers Clinton? |
|
Maybe he's deciding between the two candidates? Maybe he doesn't want to get involved in an endorsement?
I don't know why Obama's supporters think it's a given that Gore will/should endorse their candidate.
