"Obama Smokes" This is what we're resorting to? Are You Kidding me? |
|
Edited on Mon Feb-04-08 06:19 PM by IndieLeft
I can't believe it. I really can't. This is really an issue to Hillary supporters? Really? You have to be joking, right?
***I know this is not the tactics of MOST Cliton supporters.(my edit)
Last I heard, Obama quit, not that it matters. And even if he didn't so what.
I have been a smoker since I was 12 years old... 17 years. Today, I got up, put on the patch, and I've been pulling my hair out waiting for the thing to kick in.
If you have never been a smoker, then you have NO idea how difficult it is to quit, especially if you've been doing to for a long time.
But seriously... seeing this over and over again, just makes me so happy.
You know why? Because if that's what they got, if this is the Elephant in the room, so to speak, then bring it on.
If this is what they have to toss around, that just means there is NOTHING of and substance to attack with.
That means Obama is IN! Ride the wave baby! Ride the wave!

Seriously. It's $4 at Walmart. If you have problems getting off the patch, the Prozac will ease over the last bit of jitters. Good Luck!
And that Obama Smokes thread was my last straw on that poster. :eyes:

7. Thanks... I was able to cut down to 5-6 cigarettes a day by myself |
|
but I couldn't quit. So, I bought the full strenght patch and cut it in half, cuz I didn't want to get more addicted... you know.
so i'll do this at first, then i'll switch down like it says....
It's kicking in now, actually. Sitting here laughing now, higher than a kite of a nicotine patch! LMAO.

sugar free mints, they also help. And also thinking about a totally new way to live, all the things that you didn't do because of smoking. That will help offset those moments when you lit a cigarette "instead". You also might get some emotions to deal with, don't worry about them, just observe as "that's interesting". The key thing is to get through the next 3 months without a cigarette. That is ALL that matters in your life right now.
In a few years, you'll be sooo glad you quit!'

|
But, my mom might be upset if I quit taking her calls. LOL>
It really is my only vice left, you know. I drink about 6 beers a year, and quit doing drugs years ago.
I was gonna get twizzlers, but the tootsie pops are a good idea too. keep me busy for a few minutes.

33. I always smoked outside, and not in the car |
|
So, that won't be a problem. I have been preparing for a while. The goal was to quit before I was 30. They say if you quit by then, if ten years your lungs are supposed to be like you never smoked, and don't have to worry about lung cancer. So, I'm 5 months ahead of schedule.
Thanks for the tips.

Fluoxetine prescription, $4 at Walmart. If you have a family doctor, they would most likely be happy to call in a one month prescription if they know you're going to use it to quit smoking.

11. I don't believe that honest Clinton supporters are using this. |
|
This comes from those who bash, and bash one candidate exclusively. They don't support Clinton or any other Dem. Only bash one, and you are led to believe that they are a supporter of the other by default. They are simply disruptors.

Some people hate them, but I loved every minute.
I did the patch first and then moved on to lozenges. Now I'm addicted to them, but it's still better than tobacco.

just find something that has absolutely nothing to do with being president, having to do with a campaign that people are being critical about your candidate, and give it the same title.
Of course, first it has to be something that has been posted on here as an attack. That's how you do it.
Unfortunately, that isn't happening to Hillary. So I don't know what you are going to do.
