Bloomberg TV interviewing progressive European lawmakers: OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA
Edited on Mon Feb-04-08 06:41 PM by CorpGovActivist
"He understands foreign policy from a more mature perspective."

"He can repair very badly-damaged foreign relations."

"He is as inspirational as when JFK came to Berlin."

Etc.

On edit: The segment interviewed lawmakers to the left of center in about a dozen countries, from the UK, the Netherlands, Scandanavian countries, Germany, Spain, France, etc.

1. ????
Give me a bfb.

I've watched Obama speak several times,
and he's nowhere near the speaker JFK was.

Not even close.

2. Well, as measured against his competition...
1. He didn't self-segregate, becoming a big fish in a protected sanctuary. That probably helps him relate to others and find common ground, without adhering to an unchallenged orthodoxy.

2. He proved his chops at the written and spoken word long, long ago. Harvard Law Review.

3. I think Obama will be very warmly received by Europe and the third world
If he's elected, it's going to present him with a tremendous burden to live up to the image. I guess I'm pessimistic about all politicians and their abilities to make an impact, but I hope he can live up to expectations, if elected.

4. Obama and Mandela on the same stage.
Manela's health and vigor permitting, that tour could be a pivotal moment in our relationship with Africa, for instance.
