I do not find that admirable about Obama.

9. I think you can tell that I supported Edwards.
I early voted for Edwards. Since he is not in the race any longer, I have tried to remain neutral. However, I am leaning to Clinton because of my research and because of the outrageous postings of Obama supporters here.

11. I am for Hillary for many reasons.
Including the sickening praise that Obama has gotten.
The beating of HRC is just horrific.

8. There is no hate in this post.
The OP is pointing out a fact. Obama did break his promise to complete a full term in the Senate before running for the Presidency. Hillary kept her promise though.

Does the Obama camp do anything besides run on their blind hatred of Hillary Clinton?

19. Well if you've been reading my posts
you'd see that I've been saying nice things about Hillary lately after the debate. I thought DU would become more unified. Guess not.

12. Hateful? Facts are hateful to you?
Perhaps you need to reconsider your stance in this race.

17. You want other people to reconsider their stance in the race, when you are basing your support
on your dislike of posts on DU. Get a clue sister.

You left that part out because it served your purpose. Says a lot about you.

22. This is what you actually said:
I am leaning to Clinton because of my research and because of the outrageous postings of Obama supporters here.

The fact that you would let people on DU influence you decision says A LOT about you as a voter. Talk about American Idol voting.

Research and observations. A powerful combination.

15. Can't people ask questions here at DU?
without everyone pouncing on them for doing so? I read no hatefulness in the OP. Lighten up, will ya? Freedom of expression means sometimes people differ in their approaches, even though they can be on the same team. It's called diversity. Respect it.

14. Which quote?
Here is a link, but I don't know if it is what you are looking for.

"First, I hardly think it's becoming in a man who wants to be the leader of the free world to break a categorical promise that he would not consider another office until he had completed his first term in the Senate. You made that promise, Senator, when you ran for the Senate two years ago. What's more, you went on "Meet the Press" just a year ago and categorically denied that you were even considering a presidential bid. You've got four years left to go on that promise, Senator Obama, and you should keep it."

23. This was on yahoo news, but the link is no longer valid.
"The Illinois Democrat said he could no longer stand by the statements he made after his 2004 election and earlier this year that he would serve a full six-year term in Congress."

27. I voted for Obama for the Senate
And I am not at all upset that he is running for President. I have been getting sick of the fact that our candidates always seem to be from either the South or the Northeast. You underestimate the appeal of a midwestern candidate.

28. I voted for him too
and was proud to. I'm glad he's my Senator.

But we do have an issue here. He ran in the Ill. Senate primary against a really weak field, and then the leading candidate, a meaningless rich guy whose name I can't even recall, had to drop out because his ex-wife raised a stink. There was virtually no opposition in that primary. Then in the GE, we all know the Repug candidate, Jack Ryan, was revealed to be visiting strip bars and dropped out. Obama spent his Senate campaign flying around the country supporting other candidates.

That is his entire large-scale political background in elections, and it's one amazingly untested political history. Really.
