12. I hope no one thought this year would be easy.

It's true...we are getting into wheat from the chaff territory here. If there are young DUers here, or people new to politics, please realize that if people are angry, it is because we hate what has happened the past eight years. People are very serious and passionate. There is nothing common about this year, and this is not politics as usual.

The stakes are big. The country is hurting, and unlike Republicans, there is no coronation of a spokesmodel in our primaries.

That said, politics on the internet are an even uglier beast than in real life. There is a lot of posturing that is pretty evident. I don't like alot of the easy attacks that are so rampant on DU. If you are reading one-liners, scare tactics, or blatant baiting from any side, just ignore it. Real people talk about politics with their co-workers, friends, and strangers (when possible).

Remember conservatives meetup every sunday. Don't get so invested in this year that you stop thinking or working after the election.
