If Hillary doesn't win the nomination, do you think she will try again in the future? |
|
She'd be younger than McCain is today in 2016, and in better health.
Do you think this is her one and only shot at the office, or will she give it one more go if she doesn't get the nod?

I think she refocuses on either becoming Senate Majority Leader or leaving politics entirely to make a fortune selling a book or two and then travelling the lecture circuit.
I doubt she would have another go at it.

Furthermore, if she wins, she needs to pass Hillarycare in her first term to survive.

... if Obama doesn't get elected (or doesn't run for a second term). But, she won't run in 8 years.

She may but if she loses this time she won't get another realistic chance |
|
Our party also has a history of not being kind to second time candidates (Edwards, Biden, Gephardt, to name a few), a peculiar contrast to the rethugs (Dole, McCain, Bush, Reagan).

But of course one never knows. I think the Presidency is a tough job and Americans should consider age when choosing a President. Otherwise you have surrogates doing the job for them unbeknownst to us. Think Reagan 2nd term.
