Who got the most bang for their buck? Obama's Superbowl or Hillary's Hallmark? |
|
Just wondering...I missed Hillary's thing 'cause Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles was on.
But who do you think got the most bang for their buck?
Also, does anyone have any costing figures for these expenditures? Anyone know how many watched Hallmark?

2. I didn't see the Obama ads. |
|
Since I'm not in one of the targeted states. The superbowl is a notoriously good time to catch registered voters though.

I think I remember seeing a preview somewhere along the lines. I like Linda Hamilton, what's the Sarah Conner thing about.

4. Its fairly decent...no Linda Hamilton though...takes place after T2.. |

I actually have a cyberpunk movie review site, so its sort of important for me to watch this. Here's my review of the first two episodes. The last two have been better I think...overall I'd rate the show with at least a 7/10 stars. Here's my review of the pilot if interested: http://www.cyberpunkreview.com/movie/decade/2000-current/terminator-sarah-connor-chronicles-pilot-episodes/

6. Uhm, I'm character driven |
|
I have to like the characters in order to watch just about anything. Their personal demons, aspirations, etc. plus writing. How well does the show do in creating 3 dimensional characters?

8. Does well with John Conner...slightly decent with Summer Glau's terminatrix character |
|
Sarah Conner is sort of all over the place right now. she's more like the Sarah after T1 than the one after T2.

7. Missed the O-man's ad during the Bowl, caught it on Macneil/Lehrer tonight - |
|
It was awful. And so I am glad. It was so youth-focused. Great for most ads, when you're trying to get people to SPEND SPEND SPEND on the latest technogadget, luxury jeans, or stuffed-crust pizza: no-one beats the Yoof when it comes to frivolous expenditures. But this was a campaign ad, which is about getting people to vote for a President: that's what old folks do.

The Super Bowl was the most watched ever.
Obama got way more exposure, it won't even be close.
Whether that works out in terms of generating votes/$ spent, well that's a different story. I suppose thats the type of stuff you can do when you're raking in millions per day. Personally I enjoy Obama's ads, and thought that the post Super Bowl one was good for the time slot, and since they saved it til just after the game I bet it wasn't quite as pricey as the ones during the actual game itself.
