Are Rush and Coulter trying to help McCain?

Anyone else think Rush and Coulter are crying about how moderate McCain is just to help him win over independents in the general election? Are they playing a game of reverse psychology with the public?

These are bought and paid for party loyalists and its not as though McCain is all that moderate.

as in..."I know Anne Coulter is a lunatic so if she doesn't like McCain then maybe he's moderate enough to vote for."

The Repubs are that fractured... the nut houses have taken over the asylum, and "fiscal conservatives" have lost control.
