You can bet if she wins, she will be a great advocate for the Democratic positions.

As an advocate, I give her high, high marks.

As a salesman to bring people together, not so good though.

I'm just afraid she will help ram some stuff through in 4 years and wind up just causing blowback in 2012 and no real long-term effect or advancement of our progressive ideas because no fundamental shift in the political balance was achieved.

Hillary for Secretary of State!

1. I don't think so, if we control Congress too.
It is tough to predict blow back, but I believe enough in in Progressive ideals that things will get better, so the electorate will like it. I have to believe. I know it's right.

9. I think we will control Congress.
Look at the huge numbers of open seats right now. We won't get all of them, but we will get some.

She will get things done, and she will advance progressive ideals enough to improve things. She won't accomplish everything. Her biggest problem will be the media. They will do their best to defeat her in the general election, to defeat her programs, and to try to turn Congress back over to the republicans.

12. Correct. 29 repuke reps are resigning, more than a few in districts
where they barely won in 2006. Dems will pick up at least 10 seats in the House. In the Senate, dems are in great shape and will pick up at least 4 seats.

The new dem president will have a Congress that will work with him or her.

2. She is sharp.
I would have no problem supporting her, should she become the nominee. I think she is better informed and better qualified than any of the pukes.

I am proud of our candidates. I didn't realize she was for public financing.

6. She's really kicking ass--VERY REAL, very GENUINE. CONNECTING!
She'd never take SECSTATE. She likes her work on the SASC, and she'd keep on with that if she didn't get the nom.

11. No doubt about it. Hillary is great at fielding questions.

I am watching some of her Townhall online: http://townhall.hillaryclinton.com/

Hillary is very smart. She can address any issue using everyday language.

But I don't like all the cheering every time they link up to another city.

It was definitely a great idea of her campaign to set up this event.

Edited to add: Hillary's answer on energy efficiency was just awesome! I give it 11/10.

15. I assumed the whole event was coreographed
and the questions scripted. After all, it was a paid spot, basically an infomercial on the candidate. I don't see how the questions could not have been scripted beforehand.

16. OK, but Hillary was not using cue cards or screens.
Everything she said was something that she had thought about - in terms of what she wanted to say and how to say it.

It's not like Chimpy where he has to wear an earpiece so that Karl Rove can feed lines into his head.

I think that Hillary is incredibly smart and she understands the issues. She does great in debates.

Her biggest drawback is probably the idea of Bill Clinton hanging around the Whitehouse for another 4 to 8 years.

17. Agreed on both counts
Sen. Clinton is phenomenally gifted, as is Sen. Obama. And, despite his also having great intelligence, I don't think I like the idea of him back in the Whitehouse.
