the purpose behind voting for someone who is not in the race? Does that accomplish anything, or is it just to make yourself feel good?
I could write in Al Gore and it would be just about as meaningful.
Thanks

14. Yes, considering I'll probably require an industrial |
|
strength clothespin to affix to my nose in November, I'm voting my conscience today. It sends a message that I don't want ABC,NBC,CBS,Fox,CNN,MSNBC, etc choosing my candidates.

16. So you're satisfied not having your vote count? |
|
I only ask, because if HRC gets the nod - I don't know how I'd feel about voting for her, especially with her refusal to take responsibility on the war, in the GE. People tell me I need to just hold my nose and do it for the sake of the party. So what makes this any different? If you refuse to vote - you really lose your voice. Then after one or the other gets nominated, and you decide that you don't like them - what say do you have in the matter, because you threw away your vote. At least that's what I've been told about not wanting to vote HRC.

20. They don't are if their vote |
|
counts because they could probably care less who wins between Hillary and Obama. I mean if they really cared which of the two won the nomination, they would not vote for someone who can't win (because he suspended his campaign). It is their vote though so I don't think anyone should be able to tell them how to use it.

Seriously, what a totally silly and inane thing to do. I'm not saying who you should vote for, but it should at least be someone who is actually in the race. You may as well stay at home. Or write yourself in.
You are throwing your vote away.

And you are free to throw it away. Or you can write in Donald Duck if you want. But to vote for someone who's not even in the race is just plain silly. Why even bother to do it? Staying home would have the exact same effect.

|
democrats as in the janet reno/paul mcbride election cycle ...the winner was to go up against jeb bush. the machines malfunctioned (ha! as tweety matthews likes to say.) and mcbride took the votes from janet reno ... and as so many knew ... he just gave the bush/mcbride election to jeb bush.
learn something!

I don't care if Obama or Clinton gets the nomination, and there are many Edwards supporters who feel the same way. They are the same. Two peas in a pod. Both sides of a coin. Six of one, half dozen of the other. No difference. Who cares. Nothing will change.

26. i am sorry that disappointment has taken a toll on your caring. |
|
so very often that is what disappointments do. we stop caring. and, when we expect much ... we often find disappointments at the end of the road. i wonder how elizabeth edwards is dealing with all of the disappointments that life has handed her ... and she has had quite a few...and yet ... and how will her children (especially the little ones) handle the disappointment of her illness and the toll it takes on her, or the toll it takes on john edwards... i sincerely hope that you will find a way to care again.

I see little difference between Clinton and Obama, so it doesn't matter to me which one gets the nomination. What matters to me is that they continue to listen to the message. That is precisely why so many of us are voting for Edwards in the primaries. The reason you don't get it, is you think your candidate is better. I happen to believe the message is better and Clinton and Obama need to be reminded of that.

12. It's a shame Edwards didn't endorse prior to today or |

at least give his followers a sense of where he's leaning. He might be enabling the election of someone he ultimately won't support wholeheartedly.
