There's absolutely going to be a third act and I believe Obama will be the hero. Will Smith |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58v_TcZWAgg&feature=relatedLove the quote. I didn't know Warren Buffet supports Obama. He's my hero (mostly because he plays bridge.) (Might just be me or my computer but turn your sound down a bit when you view it. It seems the sound is loud.)

1. Movie "Third Acts" usually last about 3 minutes. |
|
Those are the last bits before the fade out.
Not a good analogy, IMHO.

5. Actually, the third act is the last 1-2 reels. |
|
Act 2 ends with the hero and his cause in dire straits with the bad guy ascendant, verging on total victory (Cheesy example, Dr Doom has negated Ben's strength, has captured Reed Richards, and apparently blown up the Torch). Third act, is the hero regaining his footing and overcoming impossible odds to vanquish the bad guy in the last 20-30 minutes (entirely dependent upon the length of the total work and the scripted denoument after victory).
Scriptwriting 101.

6. The denoument was what I was calling the end of act 2. |
|
I'm more familiar with the history of play structure (from 5 acts to 2) than with film structure.
Thanks.

7. Ah. A classisist, I see. |
|
I've long thought of writing a classical 5-act drama about the fall of Darius to Alexander, from Darius' POV.
One of these days...

And as of Jan, he was seen giving personality tests to the crew and cast of his film as "thank you gifts".
I am sure they were so very grateful :)

8. Yes, because Christianity is so much more believable than Scientology |
|
Virgin births, going to heaven, father having/letting his son be brutally murdered on a cross.
And don't get me started on the raputure.
Believing in space men is all the same.

9. Regarding Warren Buffet.. |
|
I live in Omaha, NE - and he actually is supporting both candidates. He donated $2300 last year & this year to both Obama & Hillary, and has held dinners for both of them.
I do not believe he has officially picked one of them over the other.. i'll post if I hear something though!
