Right-wing Radio has begun the swiftboating campaign.... against McCain! |
|
Tuned into a local RW hack this morning .... Jim Quinn in Pittsburgh.... was droning on about John McCain not REALLY being tortured during his time in the Hanoi Hotel... how he got preferred treatment, and how he is likely a "Manchurian candidate".
This stuff is great.... RW talk radio is going to do the dirty work for either Obama or Clinton... They're eating their own.

2. When your lifelong nickname is "McNasty", you should be prepared |
|
to have a lot of enemies. I don't care WHO takes him down, as long as someone does. Better his own side does it than us.

6. McCain has attacked my patriotism, and all Democrats' patriotism. I think |
|
he deserves to rot in hell. I hope they tear him open like hyenas on a downed zebra's soft underbelly.

3. I'm unsettled by how conservative McCain's voting record really is. Imagine |
|
how conservative the right-wingers must be to feel that McCain is too "moderate."
Yeeks.

but at least they're focusing on their own candidates instead of ours for the time being. It's nice to have a primary without the RW smear machine distorting the views of our candidates. :-)

11. These people make me sick |
|
I have absolutely no intention of voting for McCain but this kind of shit must stop. McCain has been through more hell in his life than any of these rw tools ever will. Same with Kerry. These men saw combat, lived to tell about it, didn't go insane, and yet they get trashed. What kind of sickness do we have in this country? We need to look at candidates based on their records and views, and I intend to do just that.

But I can't see any our Democratic candidates stooping to the level of trashing McCain's Vietnam experience should he win the nomination. If we do, I will definitely lose a lot of respect for the party and its "ideals".
