I'm voting for Edwards and he is voting for Obama.

3. Nearly all of my family members are for Edwards -- a few
for Clinton. As far as my friends and others I've talked to, nearly all were for Edwards, some for Clinton, but I have not met even a single person for Obama. As popular as he is on DU, that surprises me. Maybe it's because I live in a very blue-collar, pro-union area, which is why so many are for Edwards around here.

4. my civics teacher always said
that he voted for the secret ballot when he was asked who he voted for.

That does not work in a caucus state though :scared:

"Who'd you vote for Hon?" "One of the democrats we sent money to" we sent money to 6 of them that was no help at all.

7. I voted Obama in CA, my wife for Edwards
Edited on Tue Feb-05-08 12:14 PM by featherman
We both sent in mail ballots before Edwards dropped out. She now says Obama if we had waited. Her slightly racist, ex Republican mother (84) is voting Obama in CA today. Our college student grandson, first time voter, voted Obama in CA. Also in CA two daughters and and a son-in-law voted Obama. Another son-in-law is voting McCain on the GOP side.
Another daughter never gets it together even to register but did elope to Las Vegas over the weekend and got married to a surgeon (hurray!). Her eighteen year old daughter is voting today and going for Obama.

Other family (ex-wife, my other three grown kids, brother, sister-in-law) are in Oregon and will be voting later in the season. I think my Mom (93) is voting in New Jersey today and going with Obama but likes Hillary just fine. Elderly aunt in Illinois going firmly with Obama and does not like HRC.

Brothers in Ohio and KY not voting today. All good DEMS along with their families. Ohio contingent is strong Obama but haven't talked to the Kentucky group.

Sister in CT - don't know could go either way. Her husband is a Republican

Sister in England (Americans Overseas) and husband - likely Obama

8. My whole immediate family is for Obama
and so are my grandparents, now that Edwards is out. Not sure about my extended family, but a lot of them have said pretty negative things about Bill Clinton in the past, so I'd be surprised if she gets a lot of votes from my family. My great aunt was leaning toward Hillary when I talked to her the other night, but I think I may have convinced her to reconsider. Her main reason for supporting Clinton was that she was afraid an African American couldn't be elected.

13. First time in 25 years
My partner voted for Clinton. I voted for Obama. We were both very torn. But, we chose our candidates because we felt they would have the best shot at beating the Republican.

:eyes: she's a staunch Catholic and her big wedge issue is abortion. She's extremely pro-life and so is McCain, so there ya go.... Sigh.

21. Mom's for Hillary, Dad was for Edwards until he dropped; sister was for Obama
When Biden dropped, I moved over to Obama. Of course we're not constantly calling each other racist, homophobe, misogynist, DINO, or Muslim terrorist, so I can't say that these are well thought-through choices.
