Has anyone asked any of the candidates about their thoughts on |
|
impeachment? If so, what did they say? I tried a search and could come up with nothing.

1. Why does it matter? The chimp is gone the second they take office. |

2. Bill Clinton didn't pursue Papa Bush crimes and the right came back sooner than otherwise would have |
|
The Democrats have had the chance to drive the stake in the vampire any number of times, took pity on it, then acted shocked when they got bitten again.
The problem is not so much ideological conservatives, but the wealthy individuals and institutions people like Bush actually serve.
If the Democrats held Bush and company accountable, the investigation would point to those people who like to stay in the shadows and who actually call the shots.

3. Because some of us don't just want him gone, we want him locked up and gone |
|
This horrible man should not get away with the atrocities he has committed.

4. Impeachment does not allow for any punishments other than removal from office |
|
and barring from future public office.

8. Which is not a bad thing. But once it comes out in the impeachment process |
|
what he has done, then the world can try him for war crimes. Then he'll spend some time away. Of course, I'm sure he is just expecting to escape to South America

5. If (when) they escape without punishment or even investigation, the message |
|
given will be clear. They will come back to haunt us.

7. And investigation/prosecution is a different issue from impeachment. However, you'll |
|
get the same answer. No President has committed or will ever commit to going after the crimes of the previous administration.

6. The question is will they have them tried for... anything? |
|
Will they let Congress follow-through with ongoing investigations, or will they just dry up?
I don't think any of them have indicated either way - but it could just mean they're playing it safe for now by avoiding the issue.
