IN LOCKSTEP part deux: the origins of the Hillary "health scare"
What can I say? The story reeked of Drudge tabloid Clinton-bashing, and when I checked it out, I wasn't wrong.

In what looks set to become a regular feature - if some people don't change their behavior - today I am able to report that the Hillary health scare story appears to have been lifted (with just that wording) from certain Obama supporters' favorite source, Mr Matthew Drudge. Here's his top headline at the moment:

Look at the wording. And then look at the wording in this OP title.

---------

Reminder: the exposé of the Obama fans' use of Drudge's "Hillary cried" narrative (part one of this ongoing series).

1. You, er, do realize that Matt Drudge is not the genesis of all information on the Internet?

6. The point is, the blogosphere is not a top-down affair. Memes spread like wildfire,
and people rarely if ever are going to look to make sure that Matt Drudge didn't ever say anything about it.

7. compare the wording
I find it strange that we have the same absurd wording ("health scare" for a cough?), linking to the same obscure YouTube video (doubtless headed for a Brazilian views now).

Still, if you want to believe there's no connection, that's fine. I'd give it a few percentage points' probability, but it's not impossible.

10. Nobody's claiming there's no connection. I'm saying it's doubtful there's a direct connection.
So Drudge posts something about X. Some people who support Y post it to their blog. Some people read that blog and post it on their blog. Some people read that blog and post it on their blog. When memes explode, they often keep the same wording and same original link, but that doesn't mean that there's any organization to it. The same thing occurs with Taylor Marsh, Hillaryis44, and other such sites.

8. hate to break it to you
The origins were from Hillary's mouth, Mandates are a loser in the GE it was a stupid position to take and she is paying for it now. For the supposed tried and tested candidate her propensity for shooting herself in the foot this time around is amazing!

13. I think you need a reality check!
Mandates are a loser in the GE! She did this to herself it has nothing to do with talking points. It has to do with the american people not liking to be told what they have to do.

Her campaign has been run by complete idiots stuck in the 90's they don't know WTF to do when faced with a net savvy populace that calls them on their bullshit time and again. They keep trying to peddle lies despite the fact that they can easily be checked by anyone. Self destruction on this grand a scale i have never seen before.

Hopefully Obama will carry the day today so heavily she will finally drop out and end this embarrassment. This election has been hers to lose from the start and she seems willing to do anything in her power to ensure it.

14. Well, that "expose" is PROOF
that everyone that supports Obama uses Drudge to source their information about the world.

Proof I tell you! :sarcasm:

Of course, when a Clinton supporter ACTUALLY linked to a negative story about Obama from World Net Daily (and it was an opinion piece at that!), well, that's alright then!

I don't know nor do I care anymore if Hillary has constant crying jags or coughing fits.

I do find it interesting that both she and her husband seem to lose their voices while campaigning. Bill was constantly losing his in 1992. Strange that in the day of super cardioid microphones, where the speaker rarely has to up the volume of their own voice to be heard over even a very noisy background (and if someone actually shouts... see "Dean Scream" for example), Hillary has gone hoarse. But it's a so what. Who cares.

If Obama was seen in a coughing fit, all of the Hillary supporters would be talking about him having lung cancer or COPD or something.

This is much ado about nothing. And while the connection between Drudge and Obama supporters may be "crystal clear" in your mind, I'm afraid that's the only place where it is.

I don't visit Drudge. Ever. And yet somehow I heard about the second crying event... oh yeah, it was on MSNBC yesterday. And a story about her "losing her voice". And probably on CNN and Fox (but I don't ever watch them either).
