4. What are they attributing it to?
Edited on Tue Feb-05-08 03:15 PM by Jackpine Radical
They always have some glib reason, some obscure economic report or someting, that they always blame for sudden downturns.

7. Obviously...
Super Tuesday is reminding people that there's a chance a Democrat will be the next president, sending the market spiraling downwards!

I'll put money down that that's how FOX will spin it, anyway.

8. Oh, yes, I get it now.
They're trembling in fear of the possibility of another Democratic era of uncontrolled peace & prosperity, the threat of an overheating economy and all that.

9. A weak "service sector".
"The Institute for Supply Management said its January index of the service sector, which accounts for about two-thirds of the economy, dropped below 50, indicating contraction. Economists had been expecting another month of growth; the last time the service sector contracted was in March 2003."

Since the majority of jobs in this country are in the low paying service sector, I'd say they this country is pretty much fucked. The Bush "economic miracle" continues to depress. :banghead:
