I think that the finish in WV is very very suspicious
McCain get 1%. Doesn't that seem strange from someone who was so far ahead?

1. Not strange at all. All of McCain's people threw their support to Huckabee so Romney wouldnt win

9. The truly strange thing...
It was not just McCain's support being thrown behind Huckabee. After the first round the vote was:

Romney: 41
Huckabee: 33
McCain: 16
Paul: 10

Some of Paul's backers must have gone for Huckabee as well, which seems out of character for that group. Romney seems to be really disliked by his challengers.

2. No. It's a caucus. McCain was in third after the 1st round so his supporters went to Huckabee
to prevent a Romney win.

3. I'd be suspicious too, the polls don't close for 5 hours. How can it be finished?

4. That is weird. Much as everyone likes to think that WV is very southern, it's
actually quite like Pittsburgh, where I'm from. It's not the deep south. McCain would win PA, easily. I don't get it.

7. This could be the start of a very interesting night.
Every contest so far has had interest and curiosities. Tonight we had 22 of them at once. The stories should breed themselves.

10. Edwards got 4% in Nevada
That's just how caucus's work. It's a test of a candidate's viability.

11. They don't even talk about him here in Alaska
he's so far down. Actually, I expect Ron Paul to do very well here. I'm really looking forward to seeing who the Alaska pubbies' choice is.

13. McCain & Huckabee colluded
to take out Romney. It looks like MCain threw his WV support to Huckabee. I'm not sure how, exactly, he could do that though.

at the state convention. The majority of the GOP delegates are chosen there but there are more added in a later primary.
