DUers that do not watch TV: Who was your first choice candidate?
Just wondering if there might be any correlation between television viewing and choice of candidate.

1. John Edwards
I don't have a TV, because I don't want one. I'd probably throw something at the screen and smash it.

4. I don't watch TV, but I DID watch the debates -- it was watching those
debates that influenced my choice of candidate. Don't know if I qualify' for responding to your question or not, but I did anyway. :7

9. Ya know Mike Gravel's "Oligarchy" YouTube
Ad is one of my favorite YouTube's ever.

Great music and absolute truth in the message, which they demonstrate to you.

8. Believe it made a difference in the 60 presidential debate
between Kennedy and Nixon. The majority of those who watched it on TV thought Kennedy won, the who listened on the radio thought Nixon won.

10. John Edwards
I watched part of the debates on line.
I watch almost no television but do watch some, maybe an hour a week. I didn't see any political ads.

12. Strongly wanted Gore to run. With no Gore, favored Biden.

With Biden out, now favor Obama.

(In 1992, I favored Tsongas. In 2000, I favored Bradley.)

Oh, and I strongly dislike Hillary and believe she cannot win in November.

14. Zorra, if you want to decipher the impact of
The televised debates on the subconscious, google "Mike Grvel" and then "Oligarchy" and then YouTube
as your three expressions.

That video is one of the most comprehensive comments on modern day TV hypnosis since McCluhan
(the MEdia is the Message)

21. If nothing else, you'll probably find the music compelling.
And as McCluhan says, "the medium is the message"

24. But you cannot determine causality
It may be that people who don't have TV's prefer a certain candidate or type of candidate, and not that what one watches on TV determines who you favor.

33. So far, only 15% of the respondents that named their first choice
candidate have a candidate that is still in the race.
