Obama Wants Metro Atlanta Poll Kept Open Late
ATLANTA -- Voters reported long lines Super Tuesday at polling places across metro Atlanta.

Waits up to two hours were reported in DeKalb, Fulton and Cobb Counties, according to Clare Schexnyder, spokeswoman for Georgia Election Protection.

The campaign of Democrat Barack Obama said it is asking the state to keep at least one precinct open late.

All I can do is shake my head in disgust at the fact that Atlanta STILL doesn't have it's sh!t together with regard to holding elections. I'm so sick of this place. And it's so obvious who will be disenfranchised over this.

sounds like an Obama excuse to you? Does your 20 minutes vote nullify in any way the longer waits mentioned above? Have you ever heard of logic?

5. Poor people and minorities always get screwed.
There's neer enough machines. I haven't seen this sort of thing in the better off precincts I've been to.

8. Why can't people commandeer machines
I'm serious. Where are the ethical people storming the county office and dragging an official by the ear to move machines from wealthy districts to the inner city ones. I don't understand how this keeps happening and nobody does a thing about it.

9. Voted this morning in downtown ATL
It took me all of five minutes, but there was an Obama campaign person in the room yelling how he wanted a vote count, and wanted it right this damn minute. My partner and I both told him to wait his turn, or go piss off.

I know Atlanta will go to Obama (lots of Obama bumper stickers on cars outside) but there's no need to try to bully legitimate voters. (This doesn't reflect on Obama, just one loud-mouth campaigner who was trying to throw his weight around.)
