a write in on the primary or should he go with someone like Tancredo or Guiliani. I know he shouldn't vote for Mitzi or McCain and I'm afraid of Huckabee - especially after visiting the inlaws this weekend :scared:

1. It depends on your state
My state is a closed primary, so he would have to vote with his party.

Others are open and allow anyone to vote for any candidate.

5. Ours is Delaware - so it's closed.
I didn't know if there would be a write-in or not. Who do you think would be a good one to throw his vote to. He wasn't going to vote at all since he didn't get his registration changed to Dem soon enough. I told him to go in with the idea to vote against McCain.

4. It won't count, unless you are in a place where he can get a Dem ballot.
Can he switch affiliations at the polling place?

Tell him to vote for RUDY!! if he can't switch. That's probably fairly safe...

6. He had to have switched before mid-October (for existing DE voters)
We thought it was mid-January, but that was only for new voters to declare their party affiliation.
