I cast my first Presidential vote today |
|
These past 8 years have been tumultuous on all of us, huh? Well, at least you've been voting. I haven't!
I had to live through the election night of 2004, the Congressional losses of 2002, and the 2000 swindle knowing that I didn't have a voice. Today, THAT CHANGED!
Why so many college students pass up an opportunity to vote is beyond me.

It's a pretty good feeling, I've always thought. I still get a big rush out of it.

I was so proud to cast my first (in person) vote- thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread- and now I felt like I was a part of democracy!
Hope your experience was awesome too!

6. I appreciate that, gateley |

While I did vote for Clinton, I have a lot of admiration for Obama, as well.
I'm glad to know that our party will be represented by either of them and looking forward to November!

I felt the same way living through the Nixon/Ford years before I could cast my 1st vote for Jimmy Carter

Most of my friends are far too apathetic to even think about making a trip to the post office or courthouse to cast an absentee ballot.
Pretty sad considering the power young people could have on our nation.
