3. Ok, we'll see what the voters say when the polls close, but if these numbers

are anywhere near accurate it's a very good night for Obama.

Look at NY and IL each homestates--if Obama gets over 40% in NY that is a moral victory for him.

47. except the New York part
There was a Hillary portrait hanging a couple feet from the lever machine in my precinct (Empire Ave. Brooklyn), but none of the poll workers could do anything about it ("believe me, we would if we could") since her autographed 8x10 had apparently been hanging in that spot since the 90s (beside another pic of Bill Clinton with a full set of early 90s hair). I didn't make a federal case out of it since Obama will get close to 100% of the vote in my district (once represented by Shirley Chisholm) and a grinning Hillary montage could push it to 101%.

If these are remotely accurate, Obama's going to win big tonight.
Huge. As in "he's got the nomination locked up" kind of big.

32. Yes, very much so. Progressive blog, and they really know their stuff. I'm trying to ignore exits
after 2004. But these numbers are overwhelming for Obama. Hillarys northeast stronghold would be in tatters if these hold. And Obama might gain more delegates in the much smaller Illinois than Hillary would gain in NY.

Seriously though, I only picked Hillary because I still think she has the best chance of waging the most competent and strategical defense and counterattack against the RW spin machine when the rw vs dem campaigning begins.

But I actually love Obama. I'm proud of them both and can't wait to see either beat the shit out of the competition come the general election!

20. ummm...update...oops..
http://www.openleft.com/

-- These numbers often change dramatically from wave to wave. For example, the first exit poll #'s we got in Iowa showed Hillary in the lead. Over the course of the next few fiften/thirty minute intervals, they shrunk and eventually showed a healthy Obama lead. If these are the first waves (or even the second), they don't mean all that much -- especially hours from polls actually being closed in some of these locations.

-- Tim Tagaris is wrong. You should bet half of your life savings on these numbers, and the other half on Zogby's polling

36. Obama has to win CA by 7 points today to win, so no, Hillary wins CA
Hillary has a 12 point advantage in the early balloting - 1/3 of the vote was already cast. So Obama needs at least a 6.5 point lead to brake even.

The REAL impressive numbers there are the totals for Illinois and NY. Obama gets bonus delegates, Hillary does not.

38. We have to see how accurate the exit polls are
If Hillary can salvage California she can go on. If she loses CA and gets swept everywhere else Obama is the presumptive nominee.

all states and MANY hours prior to CA and the West, lots of after work people will not have voted yet. Afraid to count much on them, but very interesting !

(Odd about California, though. It seems odd that Obama wouldn't do better there if these other states are going for him. Hmmm.)
