And I have to say it feels good to be voting in the primary for the first Black President of America.

1. I filled out my absentee ballot across the table from my wife
and I said - I just voted for a black man for high office for the 1st time in my life

it felt great

2. My second time voting for an African American in the CA primary. I voted for
Jesse Jackson before. Yeah, I'm a old white guy.

3. This Okie voted for Obama today - is he black?
Edited on Tue Feb-05-08 07:15 PM by lyonn
The voting was bleak there, first time so few voters present, guess the repubs don't like their choices. This could make news tonight that only a small percentage of Okla. repubs turned out?? How was it when you voted?

Edit: Have to admit I hesitated before marking my ballot - there was Edwards name glaring at me, ugh, how I wish my Edwards vote would have counted, or Biden. So few Dems in Okla. so felt it was important to vote for someone still in the running.

7. other that the ladies working the polls we were the only ones there
a couple cars were leaving as we pulled up. I so wanted to vote for John Edwards but it wasn't to be so I did the next best thing.
I'm happy with my vote, actually I have a bigger smile than I did when I voted for Kerry/Edwards.

10. That is interesting, your polling place was empty too?!
The lady that signed me up asked if I had heard how heavy the voting was so far. I hadn't heard as I don't watch the local news much. Didn't tell her that tho.

14. no problem
the last thing I want to do is be disrespectful. Writing is not my forte as can be seen. But ask me about most anything and I probably can tell you about how it works, ;-) I'm good that way
