One of these fine Americans will be our nominee.
And as a loyal Democrat I can't stand seeing either one of them swiftboated...
Try selling your Choice positively instead of trashing the opponent negatively.

11. I second that!
Let's finally have some sanity. Regardless of who the winner is tonight, or if there is no clear winner tonight, we will not lose as a party with either of our candidates.

our downfall if we are not careful.

Look how well tribalism works in other parts of the world. Not so well.

Let's not go there.

23. Works for me.
I watched the debate and thought how amazing it was that we had 2 good candidates.I'm old and I never thought I'd see something like this in my lifetime. Unlike the Republicans who can only trot out a mannequin, a fundy whacko and a guy who has one foot into dementia.

Then I come hear and discover that neither one of them has a snowballs chance in hell of defeating the old war monger.

I try to stay out of the fray. It's tough sometimes but I know I do not want to poison the trough with anti ___________ comments.

We are all in this together and I know it's hard sometimes not to get all emotional. BUT JEEZLOUISE! One of these candidates will face McCain in November. Let's not do the Repubicans work for them.

Keep the eye on the prize. :-)

29. Why would they stop now? Unfortunately the freeps, the idiots,
the dumbasses who've never actually seen a political campaign before, the asshats who like to piss on people's campfires, the rabid partisans who can't figure out that insulting people doesn't make them like you or your candidate, and all the other tools, weirdos, paid or unpaid operatives, and all-around douchebags will keep posting libelous trash about good Democrats. They like it.

Fortunately, DU is just an Internet message board with a few thousand active members. It's not the universe. It doesn't matter. I just got back from my caucus where people were standing in line out the door and down the block on a February evening in Minnesota in order to cast their presidential preference vote. That's what's happening in the real world, real people excited about this election and nobody fighting about who's shitting more diamonds out of their platinum-plated assholes, Clinton or Obama; and right now it's still making me smile. No matter who wins, we win.

31. I remember other campaigns in the past where the acrimony was
so great that when the candidate failed, a lot of people didn't vote. They were young voters who wanted their dream candidate to be the one. WHen they weren't, they walked away.
